Abstract

Where scanning technology is used, the provider shall establish procedures and quality control for the scanning of documents in paper form, microforms and other forms of information, as appropriate, to ensure that any potential information loss as a result of the scanning is within acceptable limits. This increases the quality, preservation and integrity of information.

Usage

This guidance explains the proper procedures and quality controls for the scanning of documents / information in any form to ensure that any potential information loss as a result of the scanning is within acceptable limits. This is essential to ensure the validity of anything that may be used as evidence in court.
