Abstract
This standard contains all of the requirements that testing and calibration laboratories have to meet if they wish to demonstrate that they operate a management system, are technically competent, and are able to generate technically valid results. The use of this International Standard will facilitate cooperation between laboratories and other bodies, and assist in the exchange of information and experience, and in the harmonisation of standards and procedures.
Usage
This ISO guidance defines all requirements necessary for accredited forensic examination of digital items (amongst others). Appropriate usage of this standard will aide in increasing evidential weight of items and facilitate the exchange of information between laboratories and other bodies.
